Do you find any excuse to contact your ex? Is he or she always in your thoughts? You can actively choose….to let go…

For many people, a breakup shakes up their world. They are consumed day and night with the loss of the relationship and sometimes feel such intense pain that they feel they will die without the other person in their life!

We know that losing a significant relationship like your marriage or de facto relationship is psychologically tough. It can be as bad as dealing with death, financial ruin or losing your job. Let’s not underestimate the impact a break- up has on our well-being. You may feel lethargic, teary and anxious – even before your day begins!

It can take some time to process the loss of a significant love relationship. BUT if you want to take charge – then you can choose to accept the end of the relationship and let go with dignity.

A healthy divorce or break-up teaches us that when we can’t change a situation, we can choose to embrace it, accept and let go.

When we don’t accept, and we challenge or resist or refuse to accept what is before us our experience of life is compromised and we feel there’s something wrong not only with the other person but with ourselves as well. We get hooked into the drama of resistance – and we complain about our situation to ourselves and to others.

Challenging what we can’t change, or control or influence is craziness. It keeps us stuck in a roller coaster of emotions, mercilessly throwing us around at its whim- with no compassion or accountability for the impact it’s having on our lives.

A healthy divorce is one where you choose, accept and surrender yourself to what you cannot change. In one moment, with genuine willingness you let go of the drama, you stop making yourself or others wrong and you no longer complain or criticize yourself, your ex or what happened.
It is only when we choose to accept, and surrender do we find our true sense of self.

Only then do we effectively manage our lives. In times of crises, such as a divorce we let go of all expectations and detach from any outcomes. We know that life flows when we accept each moment. By choosing to accept whatever is happening in our lives, we do not necessarily agree or condone the actions of others –we simply stop fighting what is not possible to be fought.

We live with awareness and alertness and look inwards for our answers – this of course does not mean that we agree with what may have happened to us.

Choosing to accept – in fact is the most empowered and enlightened way to live in your power and to find effective ways to manage the most challenging of situation.

A healthy divorce is based on 7 time-tested principles that will show you the way to have a dignified, conscious and better break- up and help you let go! In fact, it will transform your ‘woe is me’ story to ‘wow is me’ reality.
